Orthodontics is a treatment in which we use removable and fixed appliances. It will help you achieve a beautiful smile, and in today’s modern times it is a normal part of life.

Removable appliances are those that patients can take out of their mouth. Their current use in orthodontics is limited. They are used only to treat very mild malocclusions in childhood, or for the pre-treatment of more complex malocclusions before a fixed appliance is fitted. A passive form of removable appliance is used during the so-called retention period (see below) to maintain the treatment result achieved.

Fixed appliances are firmly bonded to the teeth. They consist mainly of brackets, bands and archwires. There are also various components (auxiliary devices) that are added when needed. Treatment with fixed appliances can take 1.5–3 years.
