Treatment, braces - prices
Orthodontic treatment is partially covered by health insurance companies.
We have contracts with the following insurance companies: VZP, OZP, VOZP, ZPMV, ZPMA, ZPŠ, ZP Media, ČPZP.
The health insurance company contributes to the procedures and, for children under 18, also partially contributes to removable appliances.
The patient pays for the materials for orthodontic treatment with fixed appliances, as well as the co-payments for laboratory-made appliances.
The price of orthodontic treatment depends on the severity of the malocclusion and on the amount and type of material used.
The consultation – first visit - is fully covered by the insurance company if the patient has a written referral from their attending doctor. Otherwise, the patient pays for it.
During the second visit, an initial examination is carried out in order to draw up the treatment plan. Drawing up the treatment plan is not covered by health insurance companies.
When the proposed treatment plan is explained, each patient is told the price of the complete treatment. Complete treatment means all the material used during the entire treatment, including the removable retention appliances that the patient receives after the fixed appliances are removed, to stabilise the treatment results.
For treatment with premium ceramic, sapphire, self-ligating metal and self-ligating ceramic brackets, a surcharge is paid according to the price list, which is available for viewing at the practice.
We will be happy to explain the differences between the individual types of brackets and their advantages during the treatment plan consultation.
